SIDE EVENTS AT GRAFITALIA AND CONVERFLEX 2009: THE FINISHING TOUCH TO
AN UNEQUALLED EVENT IN THE WORLD
Grafitalia and Converflex 2009 are designed to provide visitors with a complete service: technological update from a diversified exhibiting scenario, rich in exciting news; knowledge; discussion on latest trends, hot topics and new prospective opened by innovation. From March 24th to 28th, Fiera Milano will host an exceptional event for its size, characteristics and for the co-location with IPACK-IMA, the most important European exhibition for packaging and food processing and with Plast, the reference event for plastics and rubber.
Here are some tips about the side events on schedule during Grafitalia and Converflex.
“Print Buyers” is an initiative by Zeta’s, publisher of Print Buyer, in cooperation with Centrexpo; it involves a discussion between printing companies and the communication industry. As for production, there will be a unique display of cut-edge machinery both in terms of productive volumes and in terms of flexibility and diversity of products. The demand is increasingly channelled by intermediaries, agencies and communicators acting as representatives for buyers of printing products and services. This new segment must be made aware of and updated on the latest innovations and possibilities created by new technology. Grafitalia has designed daily meetings dedicated to these new market players; they will be short to give visitors time to visit the entire exhibition, and will focus on types of products which show the strongest tendency towards innovation. Buyers will also have the chance to use a comfortable lounge to make their visit even more pleasant.
Digital printing, whose applications are in constant increase even in areas unthinkable until a few years ago, will be the focus of the “Digital Printing Award”, organized by Edp - European Digital Press Association – the European Association of publications dedicated to digital printing.
Grafitalia will also focus on Textile Printing Solutions: this segment is especially rich in news, both in terms of technology and applications and has great appeal on the public. The interest in digital technology applied to textile printing is rapidly growing. For this reason there will be a dedicated thematic course; the agenda also includes an in-depth examination of technology and applications of new textile printing solutions.
The side events, on schedule for completion over the next months, include meetings and discussions also for those segments which are wrongly considered “saturated” but feature a constant and significant technological evolution. An example is flexogravure, which will be the focus of specific events.
